This section includes work that creates a visual story. Martyr found its inspiration in a corner of a Petrus Christus Lamentation. Martyr engendered a series of paintings that uses still-life objects in the service of a pictorial message. Other works in this category (Flood, for example) ruminate on biblical themes.
